Ungrouped for easy cutting. Top layer can be cut from a variety of woods and layered over the engraved or scored bottom. Vinyl stencils could be cut from either as well. It is a beautiful cut on the laser. 

The bottom layer of the sign in the photo is scored on whiteboard.
